Also, do you know how well this fits with my vision of Hades throughout Epic which I made a joke about earlier in the post????

Poseidon: SOULS YOU WERE TASKED WITH KEEPING HERE

thinking about the fact that the lyrics of the "open arms" chorus are polites' final thoughts and polites' final word spoken aloud is "captain" (desperate, hurt, pleading) and how that means even as he was at the mercy of the cyclops, even as he was probably terrified but all too aware of what was about to happen to him, he was still thinking about all of the guilt he knew was already in odysseus heart. how much more guilt was GOING to be in odysseus' heart after his death.

and how he spent those final seconds wanting to tell odysseus to still, despite it all, greet the world with open arms.

A couple of months ago I let my little sister listen to Epic after showing her some fanarts on Tumblr, she became addicted to the musical even though she didn’t understand a word (English is not our first language (we’re Italian) and she’s pretty young too).

She says she watched animatics to understand better what was going on and she asked me to translate some of the more difficult parts.

Today I let her listen to the Vengeance saga (after I understood the lyrics in order to be able to translate to her everything) and we had lots of fun.

Just a while ago she gave me this drawing saying to post it on Tumblr to give fanarts back to the fans and so that my Tumblr becomes “Cool”.

I’m kinda crying from happiness about this, I’m so happy I got her excited about something I love too and it (positively) melts my heart to see her putting so much work into making something for the media we both love

So thank you Jorge and thanks to all the crew for making Epic, you guys really made us two bond and spend lots of good time together when we used to not talk much or even see each other.

my headcanons for the EPIC friend trio at a club when you ask to guard your drink while you head for the bathroom.

TW: implied non-con drugging and SA (not from the boys, dw)

also slight mention of blood-

Odyssseus: it seems like he's not even guarding your drink right? So an opportunistic asshat gets too close and there he is, the cryptid himself, with murder in his eyes. Yeah, that asshat isn't walking out of there without some help.

Eurylochus: constantly hangs around your drink like its the gods' nectar. A couple of brave tryhards try to get close, but one look and they scamper the hell away.

Polites: You think Odysseus is terrifying? Oh wait until you meet an angry Polites. He guards your drink, acting like the goofball he normally is until some tryhard tries to successfully sneak up with the pill in hand.

Polites reaches out, grabs the hand with it and damn near crushes it with his strength. He smiles so widely, the man starts to fear for his life.

When you come back, Polites looks like he just ran a 5k but he assures you nothing bad happened and that the red on his shirt is spilled punch.
